Harrods Estates suggests that the top central London addresses,
based upon price, demand and cachet, include exclusive locations
such as Kensington Palace Gardens, where houses cost between £15
million and £85 million; 17-22 Trevor Square, with prices going up
to £9.975million and Number One Hans Crescent where apartments cost
up to £3.5 million.
Harrods Estates emphasises that each location has distinctive
reasons as to why it should be one of London’s ultimate addresses.
With houses costing up to £85 million, Kensington Palace Gardens is
undoubtedly the most expensive and the domain of ultra high net
worth individuals who usually head global corporate empires.
New prestigious residential developments have taken over from some
of London’s more historically popular addresses over the last few
years including 17-22 Trevor Square and Number One Hans Crescent.
Harrods Estates highlight that the convenience and additional
services, like concierge facilities, offered by these new
developments are key reasons as to why they have become so sought
after.
17-22 Trevor Square, SW7, consists of the transformation of the
magnificent Harrods Knightsbridge Depository into 40 apartments,
from a studio to four bedrooms, complete with two town houses, two
mews houses, landscaped garden and underground parking. Designed by
C.W. Stephens, architect of Claridges Hotel, and built in 1919, the
Depository has an ornate facade similar to its sister building, the
main Harrods store. Prices start from £1.65 million for a two
bedroom apartment.
Hans Crescent has always been a popular location and this been
accentuated by the development of Number One Hans Crescent, which
witnessed Harrods Estates selling over 30 apartments in little over
90 minutes. The development currently has two superb penthouses
available for sale called The Belgravia Penthouse and The Chelsea
Penthouse, each at £3.5million.
Other unique and prestigious properties available through Harrods
Estates include The Savoy Court Apartments, adjacent to the world
famous Savoy Hotel, with prices ranging up to £1.6million. Harrods
Estates is also selling a magnificent period property in Princes
Gate, including an indoor swimming pool, for £11million.

Harrods Estates highlight that Garden Squares have maintained their
popularity over the past few years with residents suggesting the
shared use of a private garden square in the middle of the hustle
and bustle of London being a major selling point. The delight of the
Capital’s historic garden squares has been further accentuated by a
special day being dedicated to the public’s enjoyment of them. In
2004, London Garden Squares Day is set to take place on 12th June.
There are a number of properties within the Harrods Estates
portfolio currently available with shared use of a private, historic
garden square including Lennox Gardens, a three-floored apartment
measuring in excess of 5,000 sq.ft in London, SW1 available for
£4.75million. Eaton Square and Cadogan Square have always been
popular addresses for the upper echelons of London society, with
both dating back to the 19th century and boasting a plethora of
famous former residents. Harrods Estates has a number of apartments
and penthouses available to rent in both sought after areas ranging
from £3,250 to £4,000 per week.
Mark Collins, Managing Director of Harrods Estates comments, “Our
portfolio of properties includes some of the most luxurious and
sought after apartments and houses in London. These homes have
proven to be popular with both British and foreign purchasers. In
fact, Harrods Estates has recently returned from successful autumn
visits to both Russia and the Middle East where it showcased over
£300million worth of top end, prime central London and countrywide
properties.”
