Judith was born at home in Flowerdown, near Winchester in Hampshire.
When she was just two and half years old the family moved to Famagusta,
Cyprus for three years, and there they made lifetime friends with their
Greek-Cypriot landlords. On return to England they settled in Romsey,
Hampshire for five years before moving to Apperley, Gloucestershire
where her parents have remained ever since.
On leaving school Judith attended college to complete a City & Guilds in
Hotel Reception and then worked as a Hotel Receptionist, first at a
Hotel in Droitwich and then for several years at a Hotel in Southam,
Gloucestershire. Judith enjoyed the life of a hotel worker, but after
four years decided she wanted to move out of hotel accommodation, lodged
in a house in Cheltenham and obtained her first job in the motor trade
as a receptionist.
During this time Judith met her husband Trevor, to whom she has now been
married for thirteen years and has two children, Shannon aged 9 and Liam
aged 6.
Judith has been working in the motor trade for seventeen years, taking a
variety of titles including Receptionist, Service Advisor, Purchase
Ledger, Sales Advertising and currently Service Administrator. For the
past eight years at Broughtons of Cheltenham she has worked on a
part-time basis, allowing her to care for her children. During that time
she has enjoyed the variety in her job. Judith has seen many changes,
and along with her colleagues is always thinking of new ways to make the
administration as efficient as possible.
In Judith’s spare time she attends a gym, which is getting a lot of use
at the moment, but she can’t predict her dedication to it for the rest
of the year, though! Judith meets up regularly with friends either for
lunch or at the cinema. Judith and her family love going on holiday;
when the children were young they travelled as far as Devon, but since
growing older they have been to Cyprus, Cuba, Portugal and Lanzarote.
They are due to go to Southern Spain this year.
Judith has a good working relationship with her colleagues in
after-sales, the workshop and in administration, and takes each day as
it comes with a positive attitude.
