Automatic Driver Recognition (ADR)
Bentley has recently introduced NavTrak ADR (Automatic Driver
Recognition) as the endorsed stolen vehicle tracking system for your
Bentley.
Statistics show that over half of cars stolen are taken using the
driver’s keys, and even the most sophisticated vehicle alarms and
immobilisers cannot protect anyone against this happening. Also, present
tracking systems are rendered ineffective if the owner is unaware his
car has been stolen. NavTrak is the only GPS tracking system which
detects whether the owner is driving the car.
How Does NavTrak ADR Work?
NavTrak ADR is a sophisticated vehicle tracking device using GPS (Global
Satellite Positioning) and mobile technologies to track a vehicle’s
position through use of an ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) card. The
ADR card is the size of a credit card and fits easily in a wallet or
purse. Each time the car is started the NavTrak system automatically
detects the presence of the ADR card, hence determining whether the
owner is driving the car or if the vehicle has been stolen. Should the
car be started without the ADR card present a silent alert is sent
immediately to NavTrak control centre and tracking of the car commences.
The driver is be contacted to confirm whether the vehicle is moving
illegally. This means that even if thieves obtain the keys to your
Bentley and you are not aware of it, your vehicle will be tracked and
police alerted.
Reduced Insurance Premiums
Theft and non-recovery of vehicles is still a costly experience, despite
insurance cover. There may be excesses to pay, or an insurance payout
may fall short of the value of the vehicle. Insurance of a prestige
vehicle is often conditional on it being fitted with a recognised
vehicle tracking device. NavTrak ADR is a Thatcham Q rated security
system.
NavTrak Additional Services
NavTrak offers more than ‘just’ a stolen vehicle tracking system and
recovery service.
AutoTrak: allows you to self-test or keep track of your car via mobile
phone. This confirms the vehicle’s status and location via a text
message. Calls are charged at a premium rate of 60p per minute.
Webwatch
offers an enhanced level of security. By accessing a dedicated website
from any computer you can view your vehicle’s current location on a
street map. Webwatch is fully automated and allows you to locate your
vehicle on demand 24 hours a day.
24-hour Surveillance at Home or Abroad
NavTraks’ service extends beyond the UK in to Europe, providing cover
for Bentley drivers taking their cars abroad, as well as ensuring that
thieves don’t escape capture simply by crossing the channel. Not only
are stolen vehicles tracked throughout 27 countries, but NavTrak’s
service includes driver liaison in English and local languages with
other countries’ police forces. |
