Bentley Pangbourne Launch Event

On Thursday 3 February Bentley Pangbourne opened its doors to 100 customers, colleagues and friends for a memorable evening of fine wine, delicious food and
conversation.

The evening began with a champagne reception kindly sponsored by Laurent-Perrier. Guests sampled a fine 1996 champagne before taking their seats to enjoy a wonderful cookery demonstration by Lesley Waters, the renowned celebrity chef of Ready, Steady, Cook fame.

The menu for the evening included a fabulous fillet of Black Welsh beef with Madeira jus, which Lesley cooked to perfection. Guests were then treated to a tasting of two magnificent wines with the assistance of wine critic Philippe Boucheron. After dinner, guests sampled two more wines, this time chosen to complement the mouth-watering dessert, lemon torte.

Adrian Hallmark, Member of the Board for Sales and Marketing at Bentley Motors, began the speeches before Rt. Hon. William Hague MP took the stage with some very amusing anecdotes from the world of politics.

On Saturday 4 February Bentley Pangbourne once again opened its doors for the day attended by over 350 guests. On show were the very latest motor cars from
Bentley, along with other specialist marques. Guests were treated to demonstrations in the outstanding Continental GT and the magnificent Arnage.

Not for the feint hearted, a 1920’s Bentley Blower, along with a 1927 four and half litre, treated guests to a chilly blast around the village of Pangbourne. On both occasions Olga Vojdaeva, a local Russian artist, presented some of her beautiful paintings, and local interior design company, O3 Interiors, displayed some wonderful pieces from their Pangbourne store. Alexanders Jewellers, along with Brietling, put on show some fabulous time-pieces along with some exquisite jewellery.
