:. Navtrack Monitors Broughtons’ GT:05 Rally

O
n 14 August 2005 Broughtons commenced their inaugural GT:05 event, inviting customers to enjoy a five-day adventure between Stoke Poges and Monaco. The cars lined up on the start line at Stoke Park Club in Buckinghamshire to travel across Europe on sweeping roads through open countryside. The breathtaking scenery enabled participants to enjoy the exhilarating drive in their Bentleys and Aston Martins.
Throughout this GT:05 event Broughtons, in partnership with NavTrak, monitored the progress of both a Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur, providing information on the progress of the two cars – the route travelled and distances covered were recorded. The additional features of WebWatch and AutoTrak were utilised.
What is Navtrak Webwatch?
NavTrak is more than just a security device for a car. A feature called Webwatch enables owners of their cars to view their vehicles’ current location on a street map. It uses GPS (Global Positioning System), a system of 24 satellites orbiting the earth, to position accurately any GPS receiver anywhere in the world. The NavTrak receiver unit in the vehicle communicates with this system every second and so determines its exact location. By accessing a dedicated website from any computer it enables owners to select from a list of their vehicles which are fitted with NavTrak. Enabling vehicle owners to locate theirs vehicles’ movements 24 hours a day naturally improves security of both drivers and vehicles.

Why should I consider NavTrak?
Between the dates of October 2004 and April 2005 NavTrak recovered six NavTrak-equipped Bentleys stolen in the UK. On each occasion the customer’s premises were broken into, car keys taken and the cars driven away. NavTrak successfully tracked and recovered all these vehicles within a maximum time of 2 hours 21 minutes, the quickest recovery being 15 minutes.

For further information regarding the NavTrak ADR system or an application to arrange fitment, please contact your preferred Broughtons dealership.
